Getting Started is Easy

There’s no pressure to jump straight into a quote. We recommend an introductory call to discuss your research goals and experience. This allows us to tailor our approach to your specific needs.

The Quote Process

To get a quote, simply reach out to a Dynata Account Director with the following information:

  • Research Objective: What are you hoping to learn from the survey?
  • Target Audience: Who do you want to hear from? Be as specific as possible (e.g., homeowners age 18+ who use streaming services).
  • Survey Length: How many questions will your survey have or how long will your survey be? (A good rule of thumb is 3 questions per minute.)
  • Services Needed: Do you need help designing your survey, or is it already drafted that you would like help optimizing? Do you need assistance programming the survey?
  • Reporting Needs: Every survey includes a basic reporting output, a raw data file in CSV & SPSS. Additional reporting options are available to fit your needs.
  • Timeline: When do you need the quote? When would you like to launch the project?

Understanding Costs

The two main factors that affect cost are survey length and the difficulty of finding your target audience (qualifying rate). Generally, consumer surveys are less expensive than B2B or expert network surveys.

Project Launch

Once you approve the quote & you are ready to launch, a project manager will be assigned to oversee your research.

Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Kickoff Call: We’ll discuss your research objectives, target audience, timeline, and next steps.
  2. Survey Design or Review: If you need help designing your survey, we’ll schedule a call to collaborate. If you have a draft, we’ll review it and suggest improvements.
  3. Programming (if applicable): Our team will code and set up the survey logic.
  4. Testing: You’ll receive a test link to ensure the survey functions properly.
  5. Soft Launch: We’ll launch the survey to a small group (10% of the desired completes) to test data quality and make adjustments if needed.
  6. Full Launch: Once you approve the soft launch, we’ll open the survey to your target audience. Fielding typically takes 7-10 days.
  7. Reporting: You’ll receive daily updates on the project’s progress and access to a live data dashboard.
  8. Project Closure: After data collection is complete, we’ll conduct final reviews and send you an invoice. Additional reporting may take 2-10 days.
